Football is changing and growing at all levels from year to year, the demands are getting bigger and bigger, and education is the basis of progress. That is why UEFA has recently been attaching great importance to the fitness aspect, especially in the younger categories.
Our fitness trainer Nikola Vukčević was a participant in the seminar “Fitness for football” in Copenhagen, Denmark through the FSCG Education Center, which was also represented by director Dr. Niko Raičković and UEFA PRO license lecturer Boris Ljutica.
The identical team, assisted by one of the pioneers of fitness in Montenegro, Kosta Goranović, participated in a seminar in Belgium two years ago.
“UEFA will soon launch a mandatory fitness license, which is not necessary for now, and seminars are being organized for that very reason. It is a great honor for me to be at a prestigious seminar again, it is a pleasure to be a participant in the best program and I thank the FSCG Education Center for that. It is certainly a reward for all the work and work that has been invested in the previous period, “Vukčević from Copenhagen told us.
In addition to Montenegro and the host Denmark, representatives of Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina were in Copenhagen.
“We all share experiences in working with the first team, as well as with the younger categories, through such a conversation we get to know the countries and cultures. It’s certainly good for all of us. “
Two years ago, one of the lecturers was the fitness trainer of Sweden Paul Balsom, now the role was “done” by English fitness expert Chris Barnes, who, along with Kartin Krieger and Werner Helsen, is the head of Uefa’s fitness program, and all closely followed the Danish Professor Jasper Anderson.
“UEFA gives us and introduces us to various researches that it has done, and Professor Anderson is especially expert in that, who gives us guidelines on how to best implement fitness in football. First of all, it refers to working with younger football players, and Werner Helsen specializes in this topic. of his football upbringing “, Vukčević tells us.
Our country and our Federation started the program of obtaining fitness licenses and educating staff on time – even among the first ones, and that is especially pleasing to the people from Uefa.
“The presentation of our delegation on fitness, where I also presented one part, was assessed as one of the best from the point of view of fitness and its implementation. I also had an interview with the members of the UEFA fitness commission, the satisfaction was mutual, and they told us that we are on the right path, “said Vukčević, who also listened to the topics of women’s football development with our delegation.
And the part that the blue fitness trainer presented is related to our Budućnost …
“Honestly, I believe that I presented our club and our football federation in the right way. I had a presentation for the fitness program in my Budućnost, I talked about that fitness work both in the youth school and in the first team, that although we are a small country we in the Budućnost have three fitness trainers, a serious gym as part of a training camp … praise from the people who run the UEFA fitness program. “
The delegation consisting of Raičković – Ljutica – Vukčević was at the friendly match Denmark – Serbia last night (3: 0), and today – when the seminar ends – they will have to show what was noticed in that match.
“We were guests of the Danish Football Association, the atmosphere was great, the crowded Parken is amazing live, and we certainly had something to see both in the game itself and from the fitness aspect when we are in Copenhagen. The trip to Denmark is a beautiful experience and we are all coming back richer for one great knowledge “, said Nikola Vukčević at the end.
