In distant Kazakhstan, the football players of Buducnost defeated the seven-time champion there, the team of Astana (0: 1) and placed in the 3rd round of qualifications for the Europa League.
Historical success, one of the biggest victories of our club in the meeting with the rival who was known as the absolute favorite before the match.
The only goal was scored in the 25th minute, by the scorer Vasilija Terzić, who hit the opponent’s net in a fantastic way, after an excellent cross by Petar Grbić.
Unlike the match with Ludogorets, this time the “blues” opened the match in the right way. Aggressively and bravely, the players of Buducnost did not allow the opponent to approach our goalkeeper Miloš Dragojević in the first 20 minutes, who also earned the title of one of the best players on the field in the second half.
Buducnost threatened through Igor Ivanović, Luka Mirković, and Miloš Raičković, proved the quality and the fact that it can cope with an opponent who played the group stage of the Europa League for four seasons in a row!
In the second half, Astana went for everything or nothing, Buducnost was solid and organized in defense, and the mentioned goalkeeper Dragojevic neutralized all attempts of the hosts.
Mladen Milinković’s team deservedly placed in the 3rd round of qualifications for the Europa League, where they will have a regional derby – the opponent of our football players will be Sarajevo, and that match will be played on Thursday at Bilino polje in Zenica.
