Last weekend, the matches of the 10th round of the Cadet and Youth League of Montenegro were played – the cadets of Željko Ćetković drew with Podgorica away (0: 0), while the youth of Srdjan Radonjić demolished Jedinstvo at home 5: 0. Our U17 team remained at the top of the table with a point and shares the first place with Podgorica and OFK Berane (21 points), while the U19 team is second on the table with 25 points – it has two less than OFK Titograd.

However, the position of the youth school is from the very beginning to develop players, not to win titles. And in the section “our talents”, we are talking to Aleks Ćetković – a 16-year-old midfielder, a cadet who plays for the youth and who made his debut for the first team.

The youth team beat Berane with goals from Jovan Dašić (two), Damjan Mugoša, Mladen Marstjepović and Mitar Globarević, and Ćetković spent 75 minutes on the field.

“We played well with a lot of nice actions and that is why we are happy. As a team, we entered the game well, scored an early goal and took the match in the direction that suits us. We took the initiative from the start, created chances and could have won more convincingly. This was a good check before the derby with OFK Titograd “.

Peers from the “romantics” are currently in a point advantage, the cup is not a priority for our kids, but…

“We would all like to win the title, but we are focused on quality work, progress and elimination of shortcomings. The title is something that can come as the crown of that work “, said the guy who is currently preparing for the younger youth national team.

The motto ‘proper development before the title’ is reflected in the work of our youth school – the most talented players play with those older than themselves in order to progress.

“I am a cadet by age, but I play for young people. I think age doesn’t matter when you work hard and give your maximum to help the team. Of course, it is harder to play for young people, the game is faster and more aggressive, but I quickly got used to it”.

And our high talented back midfielder is frequent in the trainings of the first team, he was on the bench in the matches against Zeta and Decic in the championship, while he made his debut against Rudar in the 1/8 finals of the Cup – last Wednesday he won the “blues” played from the 74th minute.

“I am honored to be able to train with the first team, training with these guys is much more demanding, but the feeling is also phenomenal. All the players help me fit in, give me advice, and each first team player has something specific, so I can learn something from each one”, said Alexa, who will remember October 21, 2020 for the rest of his life.

“Debut? Unbelievable. The dream of every boy who loves the Future is to play for the biggest club in the state. Mine came true. I am honored to be a part of a club like Buducnost, it is up to me to work and try more and more day by day “.

Alexa, like every kid, has role models, but he is ready to build his football career on his own.

“I admire many players, but I liked watching Xavi Hernandez the most. For me, he was sensational, but of course I want to build my career on my own and be my own. From the players from the domestic scene, I am happy to follow players like Draško Božović and Igor Ivanović, while from abroad, I enjoy the games of Lionel Messi and Kevin de Bruyne the most “, said Ćetković, a talent to whom we wish many more games in the first team of the “blues”.

The youngsters played in the victory over Jedinstvo with Filip Babović, Ensar Lucević, Petar Vuković, Damjan Dakić, Balša Ćetković, Bogdan Obradović, Mitar Globarević, Damjan Mugoša, Jovan Dašić, Aleksa Ćetković, Mladen Marstjepović, and Lazar Baltić also got a chance. Luka Krkeljić, Filip Femić, Bogdan Čelebić, Martin Đukanović, Marko Lubarda and Filip Starovlah.

On the other hand, Filip Domazetović, Vladimir Perišić, Kastriot Ljuljđuraj, Luka Živković, Luka Miranović, Balša Barović, Romario Camaj, Ilija Vuković, Edin Karamanga, Viktor Đukanović, Risto Pejović started for the cadets in the draw with Podgorica. followed by Stefan Vulanović and Nikola Medojević.
