Bubućnost and representative defender Marko Simić easily found a common language – the “blues” gained experience, and the 35-year-old stopper played the role of a mentor among the young players of our club.

The most trophy-winning club in the country and the central defender who wore the jerseys of Varna, Chernomorets, Radnicki from Kragujevac, Honved, Bežanija, Jagodina, BATE Borisov, Kayserispor, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Rostov, Pakhtakor and Liepaja have agreed to cooperate for a year.

“Budućnost is one of the biggest clubs in Montenegro, and in the conversation with the coach, we made a decision that it is the best for me, but also for the young players in the club. I think that with my knowledge and experience I can help them progress as well as possible,” said Simić.

Simić is definitely a new resident of Podgorica, which has accepted him as one of its own, and in the future he will play more and more often at the City Stadium, which he adores and where he always feels good in the jersey of the national team of Montenegro.

“After the national team, there are club commitments under Gorica. It will certainly be pleasant for me, and I hope that it will also be pleasant for the fans who will come to watch Buducnosti’s games, as well as my games,” said the center half, who played 50 games in the “Brave Falcons” jersey and scored two goals.

Our new number 55 knows where he is coming from, and he knows very well how talented Budućnost is, but a young team… With his experience playing for the national team, in the Champions League and throughout Europe, he will be a mentor to all young men, especially stopper Damjan Dakić.

“I watched the matches in Europe, I watched the second leg against Breidablik live from the stadium. The team has a lot of quality, but it is extremely young and there is still a lot of work to be done with these young men. I hope that everything will be as it should be”, said Marko Simić at the end.

On Sunday, August 7, the “Blues” will welcome Dečić in Gorica from 9:00 p.m., and Simić will do his first training session with the team tonight.
