Our blue ladies opened the new season in the Women’s Football League of Montenegro very well.
The students of Duško Globarević won seven points in the introductory four rounds, recording a draw with Breznica (3: 3) and two convincing victories against the teams of ŽFK Mladost 2015 (10: 2) and Cvetex (17: 0).
Let us remind you, five teams compete in our ZFL, so there is someone free in each round, and the blue ladies “rested” in the third round of the competition.
“I am satisfied with what we have done so far, because we played a draw against the five-time champion in the first round, despite the fact that we did not have any friendly matches,” Globarevic said for the club’s website, which made up for the lack of preparatory matches with quality training.
“We started preparations for this season early, so not playing friendly matches was not felt.”
Last season, the blue girls inflicted the first defeat on their rivals from Pljevlja after five years, they introduced uncertainty into the championship, and in the current season, everything is open.
“The very beginning of the championship indicated that the championship will be more interesting than the previous season. Last season, we defeated Breznica when it already secured the first place, and now the picture is different “, says Globarević.
Derby Breznica – ZFK Buducnost will be played in the 6th round in Pljevlja on October 17, and the current situation on the table is: ZFK Buducnost seven points, Breznica seven points. But our team has a better goal difference and that is why it is the leader.
“Then we will see what we are up to, but no matter how that game ends, we will have the same number of points again or someone will escape three points, so there will be two turning points in the second part of the season,” Globarevic is clear.
The fact that our five players received an invitation to the A selection for the qualifying match with Greece in Athens on October 22 shows that ZFK Buducnost plays good football. They are Anastasia Krstovic, Milica Radunovic, Nadja Djurdjevac, Svetlana Becic and Andjela Toskovic.
“We are proud of that as a club, and I as a coach for several reasons. These are literally girls who are the future of our football, because out of those five national team players, two can play for the U19, and two for the U17 national team. I am very satisfied that they won the invitation “, said Globarević.
