Football club “Budućnost” Podgorica is in the biggest derby of the Montenegrin championship against FC “Sutjeska”, which was played on September 11 within the 7th round of Telekom 1. CFL in Nikšić, directly damaged (or stolen) by the main referee of the match Mileta Šćepanović.
There were several controversial decisions of the referee from Podgorica, but the turning point that directly affected the outcome of the match happened in the 50th minute at the stadium near Bistrica with the result 0: 0 – Ivanovic was sharply knocked down by the home Bubanje player in front of the entire Montenegrin public when everyone expected the chief referee to award a penalty kick to our team (both at the stadium and next to the small screens), Scepanovic just “closed his eyes” to the obvious situation.
And that Scepanovic had to point to the white dot, says the fact that he was well placed and that everything happened right in front of him – a few meters. The referee who has a FIFA badge could not help but see a clear penalty, so the logical question is: did Scepanovic intentionally “close his eyes” and thus directly influence the result in the Montenegrin derby?
First of all, Šćepanović, as a native of Podgorica, was not allowed to lead the match of Buducnost in the clash with Sutjeska, because the day before the match there was a “chase” and pressure on how a Podgorica player plays for Podgorica in Nikšić and how he says something in advance. Maybe that also influenced the irrational decision of the chief arbitrator – we don’t know. Maybe that also gave the host the strength to play rough football, aware that he will not like everything (12 offenses in the first part against three of ours)…
Secondly, Mileta Scepanovic has proven to be someone who does not understand football and does not read the game completely several times so far and in some other matches, so the real question is what the FSCG Referee Commission does and when it recruits for the main referees.
Even after that, our referees are surprised – and Scepanovic is one of them – that they are not in Europe at some important matches, despite all the urgings of the FSCG. They do not exist precisely because they slow down the game with offenses that are played only in our country, because they do not see obvious situations, because they do not understand when the advantage should be released, because individuals do not know what football is …
And this is supported by the statistics from the matches in the domestic championship – each match usually ends with “40+” violations, while the official average in the slightly more serious leagues in Europe is 17 to 20 violations cumulatively. Smart enough.
We decided to keep quiet last season (spring part) where there were also cardinal mistakes at the expense of our team, but the reasoning by the referees was – ‘what are you complaining about‘ running away ’20 points closest?” Did someone give us that advantage, we wondered then? Does that mean that if we have shown the greatest superiority since the Montenegrin league is played, someone should “practice” on us and deny what belongs to us?
Our club is still hurt by the difficult elimination from Europe, we believe that we will learn from our mistakes in the future, but with a similar refereeing as in the derby and a generally complete refereeing at the league level, we can hardly step out of the bottom of the domestic championship.
We decided to remain silent after the matches with FC “Podgorica” (home) and FC “Decic” (away) where we were drastically damaged and where we also had a bad trial. Fortunately for us, the game in Nikšić “sobered us up” and there is definitely no more silence. What belongs to us on the field and what our players and professional staff deserve – no one will steal. Especially not in the way that arbitrator Mileta Scepanovic did in Niksic.
Due to all the above, we ask the competent authorities of the FSCG for the following:
– exclusion of the main referee Mileta Šćepanović from all matches of FC “Budućnost” Podgorica until the end of the competition season 2021/22.
– draconian punishment for referee Mile Šćepanovic by the Referee Commission due to a bad trial in the match of the 7th round of the Telecom 1st CFL between FC “Sutjeska” – FC “Budućnost” Podgorica.
If there is no reaction from the Football Association of Montenegro and the people who decide and manage the Telekom Prva liga competition after such a shameful and perfidious trial in the Montenegrin derby, we as a club will not sit idly by. That must be clear to everyone.
We don’t want someone else’s, but we don’t give our own!
