Panagiotis Moraitis, a new striker of Budućnost, arrived in our club just over a month ago and has already brought football Podgorica to its feet.
From the outset, Panagiotis showed that Budućnosts’ Sports Director Milosevic made no mistake in bringing him to the club. Already at the preparatory game against Iskra, Moraitis put himself in the scorers list, scoring the only goal for Budućnost on that match. In the coming matches, it will turn out to be his usual goal-scoring routine. One by one, every opponent would be punished even for the slightest negligence of their defense. Although decimated by the absence of some of the key players, the blue-and-white players in these games made a great effort to earn their well deserved points. Most of the time, it would be Moraitis who would first score announcing the defeat of the opponent.

What are your impressions of the club after spending just over a month in it?

– “Podgorica reminds me a lot of Greece, especially the people. The culture of living seems very similar. I have had the opportunity to visit several places here and I really like it.“, he added.
It seems as that you have the chemistry on the field with your teammates, lets single out Grbić and Božović who have been your assistants in goals so far?
– “It looks amazing after spending only a month together, I understand their ideas on the field very well, though they are probably the ones to whom my ideas are clear, which makes me active on the field. The whole team is made up of very good and dedicated players. “
Which of your qualities do you consider most valuable?
– “I would single out my attitude towards sports obligations as my most valuable weapon.“
Did you expect such goal-scoring stats at the start and what is your favorite goal in Budućnosts’ jersey?
– “It’s phenomenal that I’ve scored on every match so far. All my goals are equally dear to me.”
If you continue at this pace, do you expect to be invited to play in another blue and white jersey, this time for the national team of Greece?
– “I want to make progress every day, and I have all the conditions here. The invitation to represent my country at that level is like a dream, and I am trying my best to make them true.“
It seems like the fans in Podgorica quickly fell in love with you?
– “The fans here are incredible, especially Varvari, the most loyal supporters of this club. The cheering lasts throughout the game and we are really happy to have them as a twelfth player.”
We saw after the match against Kom that you have some extra support from the stands?
– “Yes (laughs). It’s my girlfriend to whom I dedicated goal that I scored on that game.“
What are your expectations from the team and yourself by the end of the season?
– “I expect that we will meet our goals and win the long-dreamed double crown. I hope I will be useful in helping my team accomplish that goal,” Moraitis said in the end.
