Our former left back and former member of the Montenegrin national team has been attached to the professional staff since the beginning of preparations for the spring season 2021/22 – Blažo Igumanović is helping boss Aleksandar Nedović together with Mile Radulović, Nikola Vukčević and Božidar Vuksanović.

“The feeling is phenomenal,” the guy who wore our club’s jersey in the 2017/18 season told the club’s website.

“Being part of the professional staff of the best club in the country is an incredible privilege, but also an obligation to be at the level of a club of such reputation.”

Obligations are clearly defined, because the expert staff has prepared the preparations to the last detail, and Igumanović has no problem with anything – he is learning more and more from training to training.

“I will try to justify the trust, give and do my best to progress in every field, and thus to be of use to the club, which is above all of us. Working with the first team is a huge experience, but also a satisfaction to study in the next period with top experts, such as I have next to me “.

Igumanović put a stamp on his beautiful career a year ago, he immediately started working in the cocks of our club, and already this January he was reassigned to help the first team.

“The club accepted me in the best possible way, and especially the professional staff and players in these preparations. I am delighted with how the professional staff welcomed me – Chief Nedović has been a top professional since I have been trying to absorb new knowledge, which will surely be useful to me in my coaching development “, says the 36-year-old left-hander, so he continues.

“Nikola Vukčević is in charge of the fitness part, who, in my opinion, is unrivaled in Montenegro, so I am gaining new knowledge in that area as well. Watching him with what dedication he does his job, I also fell in love with the coaching profession. As for the players, I shared the locker room with many of them as a player, and now I hope that I will be a good link between the professional staff and the players in order to achieve better club results.

As the youngest “retiree” in the professional staff, he can talk about the difference between being a player and being a coach.

“I knew there was a big difference between the two professions, but now I’m convinced of it. As a football player, you only take care of yourself and how to position yourself in the team in the best way, while the coaching job is a bigger responsibility, because you have to take care of many details “.

The blue champions are placed in quarantine in the beautiful ambience of the Ramada hotel, and they train in our camp and at the City Stadium under Gorica.

“All the guys are to be commended. The older players work great and help the younger ones in the right way, while the younger ones follow that path and do whatever is asked of them without discussion. A great combination of youth and experience makes it easier for coaches to put their ideas into action. ”

Nobody in our club is giving up the title, and that mood is noticeable in Igumanović as well…

“Preparations are going according to plan, it is up to us to prepare in the best possible way and as such we are able to achieve the best results. Therefore, we believe in the title until the end, regardless of the results of others. In addition, we are among the four best teams in the Cup, so we will do our best in that competition to keep Buducnost in the place that belongs to it “, said Blažo Igumanović at the end of the conversation.

Our Buducnost will play the second preparatory match tomorrow at 2 pm at our camp at the Old Airport, and the opponent is OFK Mladost Donja Gorica.
