Our champions showed character by managing to come back after a goal minus, they played better than the rival, they had two great opportunities to solve the game in their favor, but in the end our Future was penalized.
In the 3rd round of qualifications for the Europa League, the “Blues” were defeated by Sarajevo on Bilino polje in Zenica with the result 2: 1, so they will be in the play-off round of the LE burgundy team, and we have to try to go one step further.
The match at the stadium, which is the home of the football national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, practically started with a goal by Sarajevo – Tatar scored in the 4th minute after the action of Fanim and Rahmanović, and after Dragojević’s intervention.
The initial shock did not affect our team, the Blues jerked, started to play and release, and it was as if they got extra energy in the 28th minute when referee Sanchez did not exclude Rahmanović due to trampling on our Bogdan Milić.
Only six minutes later, Panayotis Moraitis shot from fifteen meters next to the goal, and in the 44th minute, an equalizing goal arrived. Igor Ivanović calmed the ball in the middle, he added to Vasilije Terzić, who found Moraitis with a great pass and confused the defense of Sarajevo, and our Greek scored with resourcefulness for 1: 1.
Our champions opened the second half better, the shots of Petar Grbić and Miloš Raičković were seen, and then the first big chance arrived. It was played in the 55th minute when Grbić and Ivanović performed a great action, but first Moraitis missed the chance, and after a shot by Terzić, a clear goal was saved by Pejović.
Another great opportunity came 11 minutes later – Grbić elegantly tricked Šerbečić, but he shot at the well-placed goalkeeper of the burgundy team.
And then the old football rule came true and the punishment of our blue master arrived – the counter of Sarajevo, which was inferior for the entire second half, flashed, Pidro centered, and Fanimo scored in the 67th minute.
Our team worked hard until the end, they had a player for more than 78 minutes, but we just couldn’t. That’s why the “blues” certainly have something to regret.
