Bad start and perfect continuation and end – this is how the autumn season of the cadet selection coached by Miloš Vukčević can be characterized in a nutshell.

Our cadets entered the championship scattered, winning only five points in the opening five rounds (victory, two draws, two defeats), but then confirmed why they are one of the most talented generations in Montenegro – they tied 14 triumphs in a row, which is an absolute record.

That was enough for the second place on the table – Buducnost won 47 points in 19 games, four less than the leader of Podgorica.

“We can divide the half-season and our game into two parts”, says Miloš Vukčević, aware that the introduction was below expectations, but that the elaboration and conclusion were at the level …

“In the end it cost us first place in the table. The second part and those 14 victories is something we are very proud of. It is a pity for the very beginning of the championship and that we did not manage to achieve all 19 victories. “

The cadets played modern and fast football in the first part of the season. After all, this is what our complete youth school strives for – sometimes even to the detriment of the results.

“When we overcame that introductory part, everything started as it should and we were unstoppable. We were separated from the others by the style of play and the way we scored victories – likable and fast football, with great possession of the ball, as well as nice actions. “

This fact is confirmed by statistics – the cadets in the Cadet League of Montenegro, in which 20 clubs compete, had by far the best attack with 107 goals scored (5.6 goals per game) and the second most successful defense with 20 goals conceded.

“It best reflects the way we played. When the game is so offensive, it is to be expected that we will receive a few more goals than it should be. In addition, we are the second best defense in the league, but we will certainly do our best to improve that segment of the game, “said Vukčević, who once played in our youth school.

The cadet selection of the “blues” is considered one of the most talented in the country and makes the cadet selection of Montenegro …

“It is ungrateful to talk about individuals, because the guys as a team are great and they are constantly pulling each other forward. Due to strong competition and a large number of quality players, we were able to train at a high level and there was evident progress from game to game. I would put the collective in front of any individual. I was a member of one of the best generations of Buducnost lately – the famous ’87 generation “, Vukčević returns the film to the time when Draško and Balša Božović, Ivan Giga Vuković, Milan Đurišić, Petar Vukčević played in our youth school …

“Often with I know how to compare this and that generation of ours with my friends, and we are of the opinion that this is a more talented team. I hope that they will confirm that by quickly being the backbone of the first team and leading Buducnost to the title. “

The points won will be halved in the half-season, Vukčević’s kids will chase the title, but …

“The biggest goal is the development of players and their preparation for the first team, both technical and tactical training, and proper physical development.” Only playing for the biggest club creates the need for good results and cups, but not at any cost “, said Vukčević, who is assisted by assistant Ivan Delić, fitness coach Milivoje Grbović and goalkeeper coach Ljubomir Belojević …

“Let me clarify, they are important victories and first place in the table, because we instill a winning mentality in children, but more important than all that is the way it is done. A beautiful game with tactical requirements is the main goal, and when all that accompanies the result – then it is the right one. “

A series of 14 triumphs is something to be proud of, but he is much happier than that – the cadets’ attitude towards obligations. And the fact that our cadet selection is one of the youngest in the Cadet League.

“I am proud of the guys we train, because it is a real group of educated and good guys, who can be an example to everyone off the field. Of course, we are proud of those 14 victories, 107 goals scored, as well as the fact that we have as many as 11 members of the national team, but I think that speaks best about the guys themselves, as well as what kind of group they are and how they work, “said Vukčević. whose team is made up mostly of kids born in 2006.

“The cadet league is played by boys born in 2005, and our team is mostly made up of children born in 2006, which probably makes us the youngest team. We even gave a chance to two boys born in 2007, and in addition to all that, we have expectations that we will eventually celebrate first place. Of course, all that we have done and will do would not be possible without Ivan Delic and Milivoj Grbovic, who are investing their efforts in the progress of this golden generation, “Milos Vukcevic underlined.
