Buducnost as the last winner of the Cup of Montenegro from the 2018/19 season. welcomes (today, 14.00) in the 1/8 finals the most trophy-winning team in the Cup competition – Rudar. Pljevlja who have four trophies in a mass competition (2007, 2010, 2011, 2016), while in our showcases next to the cup won a year ago is another one from 2013.
The match is played at the FC Buducnost Training Camp at the Old Airport from 14.00, and was moved to our complex in order to preserve and recover the surface of the City Stadium for Sunday’s clash with Dečić in the 10th round of the Telecom 1st CFL. The eighth finals are played on one won game, Mladen Milinković’s boys must not even think of relaxing, especially not because tradition is on the side of the “miners”.
Rudar won two Cups against our Blues – in 2010 they won 2: 1, while in 2016 they were more successful on penalties. However, in the last two years, Buducnost has eliminated Rudar in the 1/8 finals – in the 2018/19 season. our club was better with the overall result 1: 0 (1: 0 in Podgorica, 0: 0 in Pljevlja), while last season we celebrated 2: 1 (2: 1 in Podgorica, 0: 0 in Pljevlja).
And when it comes to overall mutual duels, the situation is as follows – Buducnost and Rudar played 52 games in all competitions, the Blues celebrated in 20 matches, there were 15 draws, and the Miners achieved 17 victories.
