Virus COVID-19
stopped all events in the world. Still, obligations have only been
postponed for the next period, so in the meantime football teams were preparing
themselves for them, although in significantly different conditions.
We
asked coach of our women football team Dušan Globarević to tell
us more about that.
“As
well as around the world in the course of the pandemic The Corona
Virus football player of our team trained under special conditions.
The government measures that were taken interrupted all of the activities,
and we, like everyone else, had to adjust to the new situation. An emergency is
certainly not good for any coach as well for any team. However, we quickly
adjusted to the situation, although the working conditions are certainly
different than usual. It’s easy to organize and create training sessions
and for girls to perform it from home. My main goal was to keep the girls
healthy and prevent from any injuries occurring, given that at this level it is
the first time for some girls to train independently”, said
coach Globarević.
The
coach pointed out that the girls helped him with his cooperativeness.
“The
work plan was based on a 10-day plan, where they would be provided with a
training program in electronic form, so that girls could adapt to other tasks,
especially school ones. The most important thing was the control of these
training sessions, but the girls themselves and even the youngest ones showed
great professionalism. When you have a team that shows seriousness and quality
even outside the field, it was not difficult for me as their mentor to control
this type of training. The girls were contacting each other and exchanging
impressions and they would eventually have shared feedback and so I had an
insight into everything.”, added coach Globarević.
Decisions
made from the competent authorities will condition further work.
“It
is our responsibility to await the decision of those responsible and to receive
further guidance under which we will be able to continue with the training and
also the championship. In the second part of the season we have only played two
rounds in which we celebrated both times, against the Ekonomist (5 : 1) and
Obilić (3: 0). Eight more rounds are waiting for us”, coach concluded for
the end.
