After a nice European story and a return to reality, our champions are back on the winning track – Budućnost defeated Rudar in Pljevlja 2: 1 in the 6th round of the domestic championship.
So our team continued a nice tradition against a great rival from the north of the country – they did not lose the ninth game in a row and now we have a score: seven wins and two draws.
The match under Golubinja started in our rhythm. The “Blues” imposed their style, they wondered about everything on the field, and Vasilije Terzić shot brilliantly in the 4th minute from a distance, but the goalkeeper of Rudar, Ervin Helic, pulled the ball out from under the bar with a parade.
Eight minutes later, we scored a clear goal, but the referees didn’t see it – Igor Ivanović shot beautifully from a free kick from twenty meters, the ball bounced off the crossbar into the goal, our guys suggested to the referees, but the game continued.
And the pressure of Mladen Milinković’s team continued – first Terzić hit the crossbar in the 17th minute, so Miloš Raičković tried a shot, and in the 23rd minute our goal arrived.
Petar Grbić broke through on the left side, he centered ideally, and Panayotis Moraitis scored a goal for 1: 0 with his head after the “sky jump” in the top five. It was the first goal of our Greek this season in the championship, and the second tied after the execution against Sarajevo.
The miner tried to threaten through Predrag Kašćelan and Danin Talović, but our guys immediately took matters into their own hands and with a perfect action raised the score to 2: 0. The action on the left side flashed, Ivan Bojović centered on the ground, Moraitis missed the ball through his legs, and Raičković hit.
However, a little carelessness – especially our defense – after the goal allowed Rudar to reduce to 2: 1 – Miloš Zečević assisted from the right side, and Vuk Striković scored with his head.
The second part started just like the first – our Budućnost wondered! And already in the 56th minute, the best possible opportunity arrived to increase it to 3: 1 – a penalty. However, our captain Grbić was read by Helic, and the goalkeeper of Rudar also defended Ivanovic’s attempt from the deduction.
And the shot from the white spot was preceded by a beautiful action – Draško Božović confused the opponent’s defense with a pass from the ground, he found Moraitis, who bypassed Helić in a “one on one” situation, but was knocked down by the goalkeeper of Pljevlja.
Our team played with a player less than 78 minutes when captain Grbić was excluded, but he brought the game calmly and at no point did the victory come into question.
The bad thing about the match is that Nemanja Sekulic was injured in the 18th minute, and the good thing is that our team played almost the entire match with three bonus players – Bojovic, Anto Babic and Bogdan Milic.
